Father’s Day can bring up complicated feelings. Some people carry grief. Some carry absence. Some carry memory, estrangement, silence, or questions with no answers. Whether you’re mourning a father, grieving as one, navigating complicated paternal relationships, or holding generational pain—this day is for you too.
Tile Cat Tea House & Studio DDLA are teaming up to offer cozy, supportive programming for anyone carrying grief around fatherhood ❤️🩹 Come as you are, no need to explain.
🗓️ Sunday, June 21
📍 Studio DDLA (944 Chung King Rd. in Chinatown)
2-5 PM: Drop into a cozy gathering with a craft table and tea tastings. Tile Cat Tea House will be pouring hand-sourced Chinese teas. We’ll also create a community altar, so bring any photos or items you’d like to add to the altar and/or contribute your craft table creation.
6-8 PM: Grief Yoga hosted by Jill Schock (Death Doula LA) - a gentle, embodied practice to move through emotion with breath and care.
All events are donation based (suggested amount is $10-15 for tea & crafts and $25 for grief yoga) but no one will be turned away for lack of funds!
